The Dali Quartet is pleased to welcome Swiss-Venezuelan violinist Simon Gollo as its new first violinist.
The Founder and Artistic Director of the internationally renowned Festival y Academia del Nuevo Mundo -- one of the most acclaimed chamber music festivals in Venezuela -- Simon is considered one of the most important musical figures in Latin America. He earned degrees from the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Switzerland and the Conservatoire Supérieur et Académie de Musique Tibor Varga in Sión, Switzerland. Before joining the Dali, Simon served as a professor with the Sistema Nacional de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles deVenezuela known as “El Sistema” and at the Escuela de Música Mozarteum de Caracas. He tours regularly around the globe as a soloist and chamber musician.
